1. Introduction
Velcri (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a watch collection companion for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how it is stored, and what choices you have.
Velcri is designed as a local-first app. Your watch collection, service logs, photos, and preferences are stored on your device. We do not operate a Velcri user account or cloud sync service.
2. Information stored on your device
When you use Velcri, the following data may be created and saved locally on your iPhone:
- Collection data — watch names, brands, reference numbers, categories, purchase details, estimated values, winding settings, and related notes.
- Service & timing records — maintenance history, costs, provider names, timing measurements, and checklist notes.
- Wear planning — weekly rotation plans, diary entries, scene tags, and wear statistics.
- Media files — dial photos, service photos, and optional voice notes attached to records (saved in the app’s private storage).
- App preferences — reminder settings, collector name, coin balance, achievements, custom categories, and similar settings (stored in on-device preferences).
This data remains on your device unless you delete it in the app (for example, via Clear All Data in the Me menu) or remove the app.
3. Information we do not collect
Velcri does not require you to create an account. We do not operate servers that receive your watch collection, photos, or service history. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Device permissions
Velcri may request the following iOS permissions. You can deny any optional permission and still use most features.
- Notifications — to deliver local reminders you enable, such as service-due alerts, today’s wear plan, unworn automatic watch reminders, and waterproof test reminders.
- Camera — to photograph watch dials, service work, and wear-day images.
- Photo Library (read) — to choose existing images for your collection or service entries.
- Photo Library (add) — to save exported HD posters or images you create to your camera roll.
- Microphone — to record optional voice notes on service records.
- App Tracking Transparency — on supported iOS versions, the system may ask whether Velcri can track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, Velcri continues to work. We do not use this permission to access your watch collection data.
Permission choices are managed by iOS. You can change them anytime in Settings > Velcri.
5. In-app purchases
Velcri offers optional Velcri Coins consumable in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple. We receive purchase confirmation from Apple to credit coins in the app; we do not receive your full payment card details.

6. Data sharing
We do not share your on-device collection data with advertisers or data brokers. Information may be shared only in these limited cases:
- When you choose to export or share — for example, saving a poster to Photos or using the iOS share sheet.
- With Apple — when you make an in-app purchase or use system services (notifications, permissions).
- If required by law — to comply with applicable legal obligations.
7. Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept on your device for as long as you keep the app and do not delete it. You can remove all app data using Me > Clear All Data. Uninstalling Velcri removes local app data from your device, subject to iOS backup behavior if you use iCloud Backup.
8. Children’s privacy
Velcri is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will assist with deletion steps on the device.
9. International users
Velcri stores data on your device. If you use the app outside your home country, your data remains on the device you use unless you choose to back up the device through Apple services.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of Velcri after an update means you accept the revised policy.
